This is a page for all those commuting to work by bicycle in the Clearwater, Florida area.  I am a middle-aged professor and ride about four miles to work, mostly down Drew Street.  While I have owned a variety of bicycles for commuting, I currently ride a Bike Friday Pocket Rocket.  I have also commuted on 1963 Rudge Sports–Britain’s Best Bicycle, a souped-up Raleigh Twenty folding bike, a Trek 750 Hybrid (which was liberated from my garage one Christmas Eve), a Trek 800 Sport mountain bike, a Trek 300 road bike and a Pashley Guvnor copy that I put together.  I do ride a Trek 2100 Composite Pro on longer jaunts on the weekend but this blog is focused mostly on the area commute.  You might notice that my most bikes are old steel bikes, mostly English.  I work on and mod my own bicycles.
